Nov 04, 2017, 2:50 PM Just got back today after 16 day tour from north east to south west, included two days in capital.
Went to towns further south to big markets, sensible I am not sure but would not miss it.
Basically no problems, most people took doxycline malaria tablets which apparently should help and spares in case of symptoms. Some people took extra spare different antibiotics if they could get them.
Not many people whearing masks.
Most schools back, locals do not seem too concerned.
Guides are aware of all symptoms and regularly was asking if everyone was OK and always carried spare antibiotics. To be fair they seemed just as concerned that we were taking in enough water on our walks in the heat which in reality appears to be more of a concern.
It is easily treatable if spotted. Just keep an eye on everyone.
The country is amazing and needs your money, please seriously think again if you may want to cancel.
